YNDI Object of Awareness
About YNDI talisman:
Yndi means bliss and delight in Icelandic.
Bliss arises from freedom, contentment, peace, detachment, love, and liberation. It is the sweetest nectar of life. In a blissful state, negativity recedes and positivity such as compassion, gratitude and clarity grow. It reminds us we have everything we need within and we’re not separate.
In the sacred Hindu texts of the Vedas, Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita, Ananda signifies eternal bliss, when we connect to something bigger. This union in Hinduism is called Brahman, the expansion or the Absolute, and it is where the state of bliss is manifested.
The Talisman of Yndi infinitely radiates energy in all directions like a prism of light, symbolizing the connection to everything around us and within. It represents joy from all sides, which Ananda literally means. When you carry Yndi, you are reminded you have everything you need within you and are in a state of union with your Highest Self. When you trust your authentic inner voice and follow your bliss, you have the key to happiness.
Objects of Awareness
The Yndi Object of Awareness is an exclusive design in the Primitiva project by the renowned Icelandic designer and visionary, Katrín Ólína. Primitiva explores archetypal themes in a collection of talismans produced with the technology of 3D printing and cast in bronze by Kalevala Koru. The word talisman comes from the Arabic word talsam and the Greek word teleō, which means “I complete, perform a rite”. Through exploration of systems and patterns, Ólína has identified a set of primordial symbols and turned them into tangible realities that can be worn on the body. The Primitiva-Talismanscan serve to deepen our sense of self as wearable ‘objects of awareness’.
The Primitiva Form
The Primitiva project is elaborated through parametric software programmes based on self-replicating patterns found in nature and inspired by the mathematical beauty of biological forms. The name, Primitiva refers to “the primitive, the rudimentary”, primary and basic. Its shape is inspired by the serpentine curve that William Hogarth described as the ‘line of beauty’ in his tract on aesthetics, The Analysis of Beauty, in 1753.
